training room

My number one requirement is a room with windows. So many hotels and venues offer rooms with no natural light, which is far from ideal. Natural light is feeling better, allows the possibility of air, a point of view, a sense of space and even life. Also want to ensure that delegates back to the windows, facing forward, with me looking at them, and thus the window. Natural light into the speakers at the front of the room looks good, and delegates are less likely to be distracted by events outside the window. I also (and people are convinced I’m joking when I say that) I can look out the window that I, for example, waiting for the delegation to answer questions. To wait for many players may feel uncomfortable at times, so the ability to calm yourself and do not continue life can really help. And if you think the natural light that shines in the field of speech mess with PowerPoint slides .. Get the program! Seriously … You know how many times in the presentation skills of my sessions I asked my delegates who really likes to use in writing or attend the session based on PPT … The answer is one or two at most. No one likes … Stop worrying about the slide and focus on what you do and say. They may have been asked to organize instead of tea and coffee and rest, etc.. I still want an afternoon tomorrow. Also, unlike the places they want to serve teas and coffees and meals in a given time. I want to be able to change this time if it suits me or delegates. And certainly not you want the lady enters the room with his car, inevitably, correct cups and glasses clinking. Not only is it incredibly distracting, however, the soda when the delegates come to start thinking about what they want, and begin to lose focus. My ideal is to have soft drinks parked outside the main training room so that they can break when you want and get our dose of caffeine. So when you break their delegates, I always say now that you wish to return more than the time available. Believe me, after a break people’s attention on you and what you say is minimal. Not everyone and yourself a favor and return time to make it as easy as possible. Give yourself space to speak and move in front of the room. You are the speaker or trainer, and it is most people want to see and hear – no slides, coins with which somewhere in a corner. Adjust furniture to suit you and your delegates. Take the furniture if necessary. And delete tables between you and your delegates. Unless you like the feel of a more formal interview of the seventies, in this case, go with it. Unless you plan to sit behind it, maybe get rid of the table and focus on the interaction with your audience. People can work together and can still work with them, instead of feeling like we are against them. Temperature. In the morning a bit. You may feel a bit cold, but when people come and start participating in all activities planned for them, they quickly warmed up. I understand they do not want people trembled, and I know that people are a little cold can put something on. Friendly people often can not take it, and takes a nap in the session. If not, I look up, need help! If using flip charts, and can to ask their delegates to create work on large sheets of paper, please invest in some brightly colored markers. With the service agreement stupid as I mentioned above, places are used to feed four feathers at best, a missing black, a dry red, green and blue, a good filtration. Get vivid colors and live a little. You’ll be surprised how often a purple or scarlet, grown adults excited! So you found your beautiful bright feather in the morning, review the document on the flap. Finally, you’ll need some music for your session … When people arrive, leave, to break the label begins and ends for activities or discussions, etc.. Say rather that plays music. This avoids any difficulties that the coach from the next room separated only by a sliding partition that come to complain that its next meeting higher cheeses do not appreciate your volumes of musical tastes, which has the glow of you trying to accomplish. Good luck with your training.
